STEM Careers

AGRICULTURAL ENGINEERING

An agricultural engineer is responsible for managing and optimizing crops, scheduling crops and postharvest. The engineer is responsible for optimizing human and physical resources.

PETROLEUM ENGINEERING

A petroleum engineer is responsible for handling the oil exploration and extraction equipment. They use programs of design to carry out equipment installations in a safe and efficient manner.

FOOD ENGINEERING

A food engineer is responsible for planning, programming, controlling and evaluating food production. A food engineer seeks to improve food and create new products for human and animal consumption.

CHEMICAL ENGINEERING

A chemical engineer develops and improves industrial processes that produce physical, chemical and biological changes in different types of materials.

SYSTEM ENGINEERING

A system engineer solves problems in relation to hardware (computers) and software (programs) issues. They are also responsible for designing and controlling systems that are used in different companies.

ELECTRONICS ENGINEERING

An electronics engineer is responsible for designing, assembling, building, and operating electronic equipment. For example, technological artefacts have small cards that are made up of several electronic components. Thanks to these cards, computers can perform different tasks.

PHYSICS

Physicists are responsible for studying the nature of the phenomena that occur around us. The Physics has several applications in different fields. For example, in the medical field, physicists conduct research on how the brain works. They study and control the amount of radiation received by people when they undergo medical treatment.

BIOLOGY

A biologist studies the environment, human and animals. A biologist performs different functions. For example, you can carry out activities related to work in clinical laboratories in order to study human and animal reproduction

MECHANICAL ENGINEERING

A mechanical engineer is responsible for designing and installing mechanical equipment such as compressors, pumps, heating machines, etc. They are also responsible for maintaining these machines and optimizing their operation.

CIVIL ENGINEERING

A civil engineer is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, controlling and supervising projects such as buildings, houses, roads and bridges. Civil engineers also manage computerized programs to make the drawings for these projects.
